A film a Malhotra-házaspár életébe enged bepillantást, akik négy gyermeket nevelnek. A szülők mindent megadnak gyermekeiknek, sokszor a maguk igényeit feláldozva. Van egy nevelt fiuk is, Álók, aki isteníti nevelőapját, Rádzsot, amiért taníttatta és pénzt áldozott rá, sőt, saját fiaként nevelte fel. Rádzsnak jól fizető állása van, ám miután nyugdíjba megy, már nem tudja magukat eltartani és kénytelen kiköltözni a házból, amelyben feleségével eddig élt. Eldöntik, hogy a gyerekek szeretetét és odaadását fogják ezután élvezni. Ám a gyerekek nem így gondolják: a szüleikkel való együttélést nyűgnek tartják. Elhatározzák, hogy „elosztják” szüleiket: 6-6 hónapig él majd egy-egy szülő mindegyik fiúnál – miközben abban bíznak, hogy szüleik ezt az ajánlatot úgyis visszautasítják. Ám nem így történik: vonakodva ugyan, de a Malhotra-házaspár beleegyezik az ajánlatba…

Hová vezet a család együttélése ezután és hogyan kell a Malhotra-házaspárnak megküzdenie saját becsületéért?

The movie tells the story of Raj Malhotra, his wife Pooja, and their four sons Ajay, Sanjay, Rohit, and Karan. The couple have provided their children with everything, often at the cost of Raj's and Pooja's own requirements. The Malhotras have an adopted son Alok. Alok was an orphan and Raj provided him with money and education, bringing him up as his own son. Now a successful man, Alok worships Raj because of all his help and thinks of him as his father. Raj has a flourishing job. But, once he retires, he is unable to support himself and has to vacate the house he and Pooja have shared for years. They decide to live with their kids to enjoy their love and affection. However, their kids do not want them: They think looking after their parents will be a hassle. The children decide to split the parents up, each parent going to live with one of the sons for the next six months. The children think the parents will refuse the offer and, therefore, they will remain in their home. However, the parents reluctantly accept the offer…

The elderly couple had to struggle to regain their worth and dignity for themselves.
