Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative for Diaspora engagement which familiarizes Indian-origin youth (21-35 years) with their Indian roots and contemporary India, through a three-week orientation programm organised by the Ministry. The KIP of this Ministry aims at engaging the young Indian Diaspora in the age-group of 21-35 years with the objective to connect them with India. Ministry therefore strives to expose the youth members of the Indian Diaspora to various aspects of contemporary Indian Art, Heritage, Culture, Economy, Innovation, Science & Technology, etc., besides endeavoring to motivate and inspire them to contribute and participate in the transformative initiatives of the Government of India towards the establishment of Viksit Bharat. The past 74 editions of the KIP, that was initiated in 2003-04, had witnessed participation of 2665 youth PIOs.
The programm for the 75th edition of the KIP would focus on highlighting sectoral developments of India in Science & Technology, Information & Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Infrastructure, Startup Ecosystem, Digital Infrastructure, Defence and Agriculture etc. while further highlighting cultural and civilizational heritage of India like Yoga, Ayurveda, Classical forms of Dance and Music and Archaeological history.
