Introduction of Mandatory Biometric Enrolment for Visa Applicants
Biometric enrolment will now be mandatory for all visa applicants.
Biometric enrolment will involve capture of facial and finger print data.
Exemptions from Biometric enrolment will be allowed in the following cases only:
(i) Holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service passports
(ii) Age of applicant is under 12 years or more than 70 years.
Biometric enrolment would be conducted during the process of submission of visa application at visa counter between 1000 to 1200 hours from Monday to Thursday.
Personal presence of applicants for all the visa categories would be mandatory at the time of submission of visa application at Embassy of India, Budapest.

REGULAR VISA SERVICES (Before coming Embassy please book your appointment online through Embassy’s website on Visa/Passport section.)
Please note that the Embassy has introduced an Online Regular Visa System. Applicants are requested to visit http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa to apply for visa w.e.f. from 28-06-2012. Once application has been submitted online, a printout is to be taken of the same and book the online appointment through this website and bring the visa application to the Embassy with the required document and original passport. Embassy of India in Budapest cannot be held responsible for any delays in travel due to the time of processing (mentioned below) of Visa application.Therefore you are kindly requested to submit your visa applications in time!Please also note that the validity of VISA will start from the date of application submission in Embassy and NOT from the date of travel.
Furthermore we would like to inform you that bank cards (VISA/MASTERCARD/etc) are not accepted and payment should be done in cash in Hungarian Forints in a pre-calculated amount. Applicants are requested to bring the exact amount of the visa fee because of Change (Fractional money) problem. Thank you for your understanding!

Conference Visa

The organizers of the conference are required to obtain prior clearances from nodal agencies, Ministry concerned of the Central/state governments, the Central Ministries of Home and External Affairs. GRATIS Business & Employment Visas for LDCs countries:-
As conveyed Ministry’s circular message dated 14.12.2015, Business and Employment Visas to the applicants from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to be issued on GRATIS basis. However, the service fee for the outsourcing company and ICWF fee will continue to be charged from the Business and Employment Visa applicants as well. Gratis Visa:In view of the existing bilateral agreement/arrangements, all types of visas should be issued gratis to the nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, DPR Korea, Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia and South Africa. Only Business, Tourist and Transit visas are to be issued on GRATIS to the national of Argentina. Similarly, only TouristVisas are to be issued on GRATIS basis to the nationals of Uruguay.
